FORBES ON HYBRID WORK

Once again, Forbes contributes to the discussion on hybrid working and the numbers are shocking:

·        Over a quarter of workers surveyed said they preferred a root canal to work in the office five days a week.

·        66% of SMEs look to increase the number of staff, and a similar number recognises talent pool restrictions.

·        Flexible working can reduce absenteeism by 30% and turnover by 20%

Eight-hour days in the office are a heritage of the Industrial Era, and companies trying to stay in those times should continue asking their employees to travel for hours. Everyone else should be thinking hard about the right balance between time in the office (which is admittedly needed) and WFH/remote.
